I'm a person, Not a puzzle: Life and Struggle of Autistic People
Disability Bangladesh is going to present a new book on the issues of life and struggle of autistic people. The book focuses on the issues in Bangladesh and beyond. The study does not indent to find any cause of autism, therefore believing a cure has no pint. Treatment? Yes, we believe there is a treatment to autism, which is nothing but to respect and celebrate this human otherness. The book reveals the existing politics and debates regarding the issue and introduces audience the movement of autistic people around the globe. It also contains some touchstone writings of renowned autistic writers and philosophers, provides an analysis to the Bangladeshi autism work and sketches a framework of human rights-based approach to deal with the issue.
